Location of gas pipe for range

Joseph S

I don't know yet what make and model of gas ranges I will have (yes, 2, side by side propane 5 burner ranges), but I would like to get the gas piping done.

I have no problem running a separate pipe for each up from the basement below, but I would appreciate advice on whether the pipes should come up through the floor (between the stove and the wall behind it), or come up inside the wall and then come out the wall.

Either way, is there a common location for the pipe to terminate (valve and then flexible yellow appliance hose) that works with most modern ranges? For example, X" above the floor and Y" from the left or right side of the oven?

Thank you!
