Backsplash suggestions for Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold
Comments (12)Have a look at this thread. They used Cloe Tile with Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold. It really looks gorgeous and I've bookmarked it myself for a future project. I agree that mixing the real marble with the Silestone may not work well. But I think you can put some sample boards together for your favourite choices and lean them up against the wall to help you visualize. You can also try different grout colours on your sample boards. The Cloe tile has significant variation and I think that is a plus. The problem of matching the white of your cabinets with the white in the Silestone and another white in your backsplash can be really tough. They are never all going to be the same and if you miss on one of the choices, then something is going to look dingy. But I think the colour variation in the Cloe tile will help with that, pull all the whites and some of the colour from the Silestone together. I'm sure it will be lovely. Please be sure to come back and post photos when you're done as well as work in progress photos....See MoreLG Minuet or Silestone Calacatta Gold Quartz?
Comments (9)We are currently remodeling our kitchen. Installing bright white shaker cabinets, and chose Silestone Calacatta Gold. I think I looked at every quartz option out there...I was driving myself crazy. I didn't wan't anything too bold, or too busy, or too dark. I like that it reads more "white" from a distance, and you notice the lighter veining once closer. We will be using a light gray matte finish back splash tile, champagne bronze pulls, and lighter wood look vinyl plank flooring. Still nervous about how it will all look once completed, since we're piecing it all together...but we'll see soon!...See MoreWhite Fenix NTM cabinet to go with Silestone Eternal Calacatta gold
Comments (10)Just seemed to be a better white for us - as for the quartz I love the suede finish of the eternal Statuario but the fingerprints would drive me crazy. I had a sample in my kitchen and sure enough from every angle it was nothing but finger prints! I think the polished will be better for me to maintain - though I absolutely love the honed/suede look - looks more like marble for sure. I’m also worried about curry and turmeric staining - I’ve read that’s an issue and I like to cook a lot. Let me know what you end up with, will be fun for you to see all the whites! We had our kitchen designer bring them to our house so it’s all about the lighting too. You’ll like the cabinets!! :-)...See MoreAdvice on Silestone’s Calacatta Gold countertops
Comments (8)Hi! Being totally honest, I don’t love them together. The mix of warm and cool doesn’t quite jive. The patterns on all of the different stones compete and would be too busy for my taste. Are you planning to remove the 4” granite backsplash? If so, you may need to replace the tile backsplash anyways. If you are set on the calacatta gold, I’d pair with a simpler backsplash. If you are keeping the current backsplash, I would do a solid colour countertop. Let us know what you decide!...See MoreDanielle Watts
