Dinning Table for 10 person and dinning room arrangement
Comments (12)Notepad, I thought you explained it pretty well. I don't think you need anything more than your table and buffet. As for space, take a roll of painter's tape, tape off the dimensions of the table, allowing about 3- 4 feet around the perimeter for the chairs, then see if there would be room for a buffet, and if so, where would it best fit....See Moreliving room dinning room dilemmas
Comments (3)I think the space would open up if you removed the wainscot. It is creating a "box" that stops the eye and says, "That's all, folks!" I agree with Suki Kabuki that the ladder shelves must go. They always remind me of college decor, along with milk crate shelves. Consider putting the TV on the wall where the ladder shelves are, floating the sofa facing it and moving the dining table near the window where you now have the TV area. I think you should eliminate one of rugs and only use one at the sofa. The two side tables by the TV are cluttering, but you might use the taller one by a sofa arm if it arrives within and inch of it, up or down. Get yourself sorted out with these issues and post new photos. We can go from there....See MoreHelp with Open living room/dinning room area
Comments (9)No I don't think you need to get a shorter table unless the one you have is wider than usual (most tables are 3-3.5' wide). I don't think the length is the issue in that room, it's the width. You can just get a bench instead of chairs on that side. Your table is probably 6' long or so, right? Then it will still fit in the dining room. You may want to play around with just putting chairs on 2 sides instead of 3 and pushing it more towards the corner to avoid encroaching on the living room space. 6'+3' = 9' so you'd have 1' to spare. If you want to share some space with the living room you could put seating on both sides....See MoreHow to divide a long hall into living room, dinning room&family room?
Comments (7)tv is on the wall in the area where the fan is, the long wall with no window. since you have a dining area in the kitchen I would treat the other area as part of the entry/ sitting area....See MoreRugs America
