Very Hot and Very Dry and Very Smoky Air (with regular irrigation and maybe, a cool down now!)

It hasn't been nearly as fun ... but, the property owner has a garden on the same irrigation system and has been very contentious about running the sprinklers so it has not required nearly as much attention as it might have. AND, production of the veggies has been GOOD, for the most part!

I'll find that melon picture from early last week and post it. There has been a second harvest of melons. Peppers and eggplant are doing quite well. Plenty of sweet corn. There have been plenty of new potatoes and green beans. The peas burned up quickly and I have already lamented the dearth of tomatoes, despite the size of the plants, on the tomato thread.

We have been out early in the AM and chose times when the air hasn't been too bad. In that way, the environment put some heavy restrictions on us but we were able to compensate some. The plants have mostly been rewarding.
