I like the colors you chose, but if the exterior is brick, it is not advisable to paint brick. Also, the color schemes you like don't really fit with a traditional home like yours. Maybe you need to move. :-) Or could you live with just painting the front door, shutters and garage door something different? Although, with that color brick, I don't know what would work aside from the black you already have.

Do some more investigation on painting brick, and if you decide to go that way, consider engaging a color consultant. You could probably get one for $100 to weigh in on your choices, and that's a pittance compared to how much you will pay someone to paint your whole house.

Check into Romabio if you want to paint the brick, although I wouldn't do it on your home.. I don't care for your color selection with your home's traditional details. In addition, the home is already pretty busy with architectural details and the multiple colors will just make that issue more prominent. The inspopix you posted all look muddled like someone who wasn't happy with their home tried to capture the more modern style they wanted, but wound up with neither the nice home they already had, not the one they aspired to have. Consider simply painting the trim in a light charcoal color to match a light gray roof.. Pop the inserts out of the garage door windows today, and they should be good to go. You could update and enlarge all your exterior lantern lights. They barely show in the photos and are too small scale. Looks like the landscaping could use a thinning and an update.

I was disappointed when I saw the white house. I would try to make the brick work. The large sections of white seemed to stick out. Consider a color with less contrast for that. It doesn’t have to be as saturated as the brick color, but it might be nice if it could blend a bit more. Maybe a taupey shade of some color in the brick, or even gray. I can’t really see what colors are in the brick. You could go darker too.

I agree the lights need to be updated. I do hate the red brick so it has to be repainted. the landscaping was recently done and is leveled thats why it looks ’busy’

Before you begin color selection, get the mildew off the roof. I have to have mine cleaned every four years. It's amazing how it impacts the color.

The roof is old and needs to be replaced in next few months. as for the brick i do not like it so it has to be painted, the point of this post is to have your input on what color would look best on my house… but i do appreciate everyones opinions

Taupe trim would work as well with your brick.

Lime wash or German schmear could work. See Romabio for the right products.

There are fewer roof colors than paint colors. You should make your choices together but roof first and then find the right paint.

Your house photo is very flattering to your brick, maybe you should add another photo showing a closeup.

I do like Houssaon's change of a deeper trim color, it really helps soften everything. A charcoal roof would look great too with his choice.

This is a bit messy, I did it on the Sherwin Williams Visualizer. I have added some other photos from Houzz, I entered a search for painted brick exterior and chose the traditional tab. To help yourself, I would avoid looking at other styles of homes, work with the style you have, especially if the major components are not changing. I don't think color blocking would suit your home.

My son is investigating brick stain, his brick is head shaking awful. He's looking at brick stains,

mineral paints specifically for brick so it can continue to breathe, and Romabio. We're in Canada, so some choices are limited. The last thing you want to do is stop your masonry from breathing, you could consult a mason for an opinion too.

I have been doing a TON of research because like you, I HATE my brick color. I have found there are multiple Mineral based masonry paints by companies like Romabio and Keim. They keep the porosity of the brick in tact and you don't have the issues that others are mentioning. I find on here almost everyone wants people to keep their ugly brick, even if you mention you hate it. If you have unpainted brick currently, you can prep the brick and then use the mineral masonry product. Would love to see what you decide on.

I think if you go all white, you will lose the effect of some of the architectural detail.

Good point to decide on roof first. Color can be very easy.
