1973 raised ranch exterior paint color- seeking advice please!

We bought this house in 2019, and we have done a lot of updates to it on our small budget, and now we are ready to paint the exterior. I know it doesn't look like something out of a magazine, but you should have seen the yard when we bought it! Anyway, I would really love some input on the best paint color. We don't have money to do anything else right now (I'd love new windows and bigger frames around the windows!!), so I really want to maximize curb appeal with the paint color. Thank you!!

Soft green with an undertone that blends with the brick could be nice. Using the Sherwin Williams colorizer is a nice way to virtually try out colours.

Thank you, I was thinking about maybe a muted olive or taupe.

Because the former carport sits lower than the original house, the roof line isn't continuous and I don't think that the windows can be raised to the same height as the others. Instead, I would consider a row of vertical windows (taller than they are wide) extending lower than the windows of the section to the left, with siding between them (not ganged together). I'd use the same horizontal siding as on the main section nearest it, letting the windows be the vertical element - with two outside wall materials already, it doesn't need a third.

I don't think a dark color is appropriate for this house. It reminds me of those Hollywood bungalows from the 30s, and those were always white with red clay roofs. I'd stick with warm whites, creams, light tans...

Very cute house. Please do not paint nor limewash the brick. It looks good just as it is. I would paint the windows and the garage doors to match the trim. Then spend your money on curb appeal, which it doesnt have at all right now. Have a landscape company draw up a design, and then you can diy it little by little. Landscaping, is what your house needs, the most. Congratulations on your new home.

This is a split level and IMO no MCM anyhwere at all. As for the actual house it is a bit odod that you have the front and back so totally different that at first glance I thought it was 2 different houses. If you want a cottage move this is not going to ever be a cottage no matter how many shutters and window boxes you add. BTW those are not appropriate on that house and now you are adding a post and rail fence that again is not the right choice . I think you either embrace what you have or buy new. Sometimes what you want is just not possible unless you want to actually rebuild the house. these are the Key elements of MCM Key Elements Flat planes. The geometric lines of the house are regular and rigorous. ... Large windows. Sliding-glass doors and other expansive panes of glass allow light to enter rooms from multiple angles. Changes in elevation. ... Integration with nature. not much of those is in the house you own what you have is a nice split level so start here with what can be done.Maybe try something more like this for a nicer warm facade

I like your idea of a muted olive or taupe. . I would also paint those white rectangles on the garage door the same as the house, I see no reason to draw attention to the garage.

That example from Jinx is beautiful and would really look lovely on your home.

I've always loved sage greens. I remember Houzz had a post on them at one point.
