Please, let's see your December Phalaenopsis! All of them)
Comments (13)Same here in Florida. All are spiking but it will be late January before any flowers. in NY they would be flowering around Christmas. The warm weather in Florida slows everything down. Mike you have beautiful plants. I grew a few in NY and they like the early cool down. I grow the big Phals now for businesses in the area. Once in bloom I bring them in and they keep them until they are finished flowering. Then they come back to me to grow over the summer. Great job, good growing! Comments (102)Patty, it's almost as bad here, plus the awful deer infestation we have had since early September have made things worse. As of Dec, the only good looking blooms I have are on my two big Julia Child roses. Even the little baby Julia in back has a bud, though the deer stole the rest. All my other roses have quit blooming, or have frozen blooms. We will have lows in the teens in a few days, and that's got to finish off Julia. Diane Julia in December Evelyn in late November, eaten the day after this photo was taken Evelyn late November Augusta Luise in late November Boscobel in November Jude the Obscure in November Munstead Wood in November I think that's enough for now. But the only one standing in December is Julia Child. Diane...See MoreColors and flowers, please let’s see them January 2021
Comments (23)Atheen, funny how things like that make our hearts rejoice. What a beautiful pic. I never see cardinals in my yard. Someone or something is trying to tell you something since sending anything your way like that is special. Yes, stick around more often and share. Post to the February one too. We need more people like you around around)))) Floral, all plants are equal to me. They serve their purpose. Nice pics and hard to believe spring is popping up some where. Gives us hope. Thanks Tropico, I can't believe you got that to flower at such a young age. I have always wanted to grow one of those. Nice work. Looks like it's well on it's way into a good shape. Yes, see you in February)...See MoreIndoor colors, flowers and plants, please let’s see them, March 2021)
Comments (18)I just shot an image of this for another thread for 'cactus care (it's a Thanksgiving Cactus). It's not in bloom, but it's one of my Home Office Friends. A bit bronzed by excess light, slightly south of western window, its friend is a baby tropical hibiscus with a slight cyanobacteria problem at the moment... :-) Oh, it's in 2/3 Miracle Gro Moisture Control and 1/3 sand. Dash of Perlite....See Morebonsai_citrus_and_indoor_gardening
