I'll bet you all get the bonus first. I sure did.

Didn't get the bonus first because I saw it last (grin), but it is sure enough easy. Got most of the puzzle, a few need a bit (or maybe a lot) more thought.

C1 anf D3 requiring more thinking.

I can’t get Row C altogether! and D3, either. And I’ve already had my coffee!

Ope, after the last sip of cold coffee in the cup, I just got C3!

And using the same trick, of draining the cup and same solving methodology, D3.

Hmm, I wonder if there’s any coffee in the bottom of the pot? It seems to do the trick!

There IS — was — a little coffee left. C2 I think I have. Okay, down to C1.

I am down to C1, I think I have C2. I must be more awake than usual.

Didn't get any Cs but got the bonus. However, I spent two minutes here and will come back later.

Just missing C1 also. The rest came to me pretty easily.

Still missing C1, D1 and D3. Need to finish my coffee.

Still thinking about C1, I can't seem to get past the word 'open' being so prominent, yet I'm sure that has nothing to do with the answer. And I keep coming up with a date for D1, but that doesn't seem right, either.

Huh - the date actually makes sense but ........who knows.

    Man it's a stretch for D3 if I'm right????

  • foodonastump

Yeah date must definitely right. No progress on my missing two.

If D3 is solved the same way C3 is, then I have it.

I’m pretty confident about the rest but you don’t see or hear about C1 very often nowadays.

Roxsol, I have no idea for C1, and if that was a hint it didn’t help lol!

THAT I got. Was THAT a hint? i’m on to the evening wine with Olympics so I might be a lost cause (but it’s not sake, so maybe not)

    bpath, yes it’s a nhit.

I wonder how Judge Judy would rule C1 🤔

Got them all the first time through except C1 and D1. They look deceivingly easy, and I’m sure the first part of D1 should give away the rest of it but nothing is coming to me.

edited to add, just got D1! Now if C1 would reveal itself so easily.

  • blfenton

    Now I just need C1.

    Got everything but C1 & 2.

Jasdip, if you ever run out of these, I think I'll be very sad 😃

If Judge Judy would rule on C1, what I am thinking might be the answer is wrong.

With the hints for C1 I have something but not sure I am correct.

    Here you go!

    Stick in the mud

    Fortune 500

Tea for two and two for tea

    Back in time

    Button your lip

    Seize the day

    Phone out of order

    Role reversal

    Dozen roses

    1492

    Broken promises

    Rate increase

    And Mumbo Jumbo

The only one I couldn't figure out was phone. I knew it said phone but I didn't know what the rest of it was.

  • Rusty

Wow! I can't believe I actually got them all! The Judge Judy comment had me seriously doubting C1 (still wondering how that applies), and '1492' was all I could come up with for D1, but I just didn't believe it to be the correct answer.

    Thank you, Jasdip!

Lol, Rusty, I thought it was a terrific hint!

In a courtroom, one can be ruled out of order. JJ would have ruled that spelling of phone out of order. Sheesh, I thought it was a good hint!

Thanks, Jasdip. I got them all. 😊

I never got C1 and D3. C1 I think I just wouldn’t have gotten but D3 annoys me. I kept going through to standard algorithm to look for the word within but for some reason my eyes were having a tough time subtracting the letters from the whole to see the outside word. I was very much aware of it but couldn’t shake it. If I had written it down I surely would have gotten it.

I’ll chalk it up to being preoccupied. I didn’t read any of the conversation for hints.

Anagrams is my thing and I could see phone but it didn't help me a bit and though I read the answers a little earlier I still could not get the answer when I came back to comment. Oh well. I did get the rest.

  • lily316

    I got them all but C1 and C3. I see C3 but still don't see C1.

    All but the phone.

  • OutsidePlaying

All except the phone. i knew it was scrambled ‘phone’, but couldn't come up with anything else.

Now I understand your reasoning, Roxol, and if you hadn't specified Judge Judy, I probably would have understood it. But I watch her almost every day, and I have never seen her use the words 'Out of order'. I was trying to think of all the types of rulings she does make.

Anyway, my mind doesn't seem to be working up to par these last few days, I'm kind of distracted.

Rusty, I understand. I have really never seen many Judge Judy shows but she was the only judge I could think of.

I wish you, your family and especially your son the very best. 🙂

eta FOAS I’m wishing you and yours well, too.

Okay, I finally got the phone out of order. OMG, so simple now.
