Does anyone near my zone have a FE Double Pink Hydrangea???
Comments (9)I have had FE Pink and Double Pink since they're first on the market in 2006 (all on the ground). Double Pink had never bloomed (maybe half bloom over the years). Pink has one flower each year. All have health non-wilting foliage. I thought they just needed the time to establish... Until I planted FE Together (a double variety) in 2008. What the surprise I got in the summer 2009 (see the photo from the link below). And now anther winter later they're loaded with flower buds again... So, FE Pink and Double Pink are just like Nikko Blue in my region(z4-5a). In other words, all leaves no flowers. I've also tried the FE Red since 2007. Have mixed feelings about it. It's not a complete dud as the Pink and Double Pink. It does flower each year, but a much weaker grower. Has dwarf statue, fewer flowers than Together and flower weeks later than it, too. But the bottom line is it does bloom on the NEW wood. The same can be said with FE Peppermint. But these two need a couple more years to have better opinions. BTW, I don't do much winter protection with any of my hydrangeas. So they're all dead back almost to the ground. Endless Summer (and âÂÂBlushing BrideâÂÂ) do well here, too. The new 'Twist-n-Shout' are loaded with buds after the first winter on the ground. Here is a link that might be useful: My FE Together after frist winter...See MoreDoes anyone have a Fisher & Paykel double oven OD302SS?
Comments (15)The buttons were a problem, not because of how they look, but because they don't really 'seat' in anything behind the panel, so they tend to shift a little, so don't necessarily 'catch' and control things on the first try. Like spinning it and not getting any changes. Or the main button sticks and then the rest don't respond. If you try it a couple times, it will eventually work, but that shouldn't have to be the case. Just not a great design...Unless they've made a change. The one I had was one of the first of that style. As for 'clean'...It's a clean looking design, but mirrored black glass only stays that way with some work and constant attention. With the amount of baking we do and the number of kids working in my kitchen who don't pay that much attention to 'detailing' the appliances, I wasn't a fan. I can recommend it as having great baking performance, and the racks work nicely. I wouldn't recommend self-cleaning unless you don't mind the pits and chipping in the porcelain that may occur. I have to say they were great about replacing my first oven for that, and not all F&P ovens seem to have that problem, but having it happen twice to me, I'd just avoid self-cleaning. That's disappointing, since it should work and not damage the oven...but I think it's a risk. At least it didn't seem to fry the electronics as it did with earlier F&P ovens and other brands, which makes me think they learned from that and did something to make sure the electronics were protected during the high heat. I would buy the old F&P oven again (stainless front, blue interior), but one experience with the black mirror finish doors was enough for me. Too many finger prints and smears, and it doesn't take much of that to make it look yucky....See MoreDoes anyone else have to double-click?
Comments (16)Thanks for posting this. I thought it was my computer. I told my husband that something was wrong with the mouse or the computer. He couldn't figure it out. The font got so little I could barely read it . And I have to double click too. I was going to ask here but thought people would think I was nuts....See MoreDoes anyone have the GE Cafe freestanding double oven gas CGB550P3MD1
Comments (3)Unfortunately most of those reviews are directly from ge's site, or from a sweepstakes entry which often means the bad ones are deleted or they are not completely honest due to getting it for free. I'm hoping to find some real customers who are willing to discuss it with me. Owners of other similar GE Cafe ovens are welcome as well. I just chatted with customer support and as far as they could tell from a quick look it is the same as the CGB550P2MS1. Thanks for your help!...See Morehosta_maker
