I have a flower bed at the front of the house. The wall is facing north so it creats some shade. After planting the shrubs there is still 2.5ft shady area that only gets late afternoon direct sun. The rest of the bed is in full sun. I will plant a Florentina climbing rose by the iron fence.

so for the shady area, do you think it looks better with a little lime hydrangea hedge, or shade tolerant rose hedge like James Galway, Gertrude Jekyll or Olivia Austin?

I can’t made up ny mind. What do you think? btw please ignore the shrubs in the pots.
