Your house is very pretty. I think a brighter/lighter color for the front door would stand out better in your entryway. You can absolutely use two different colors for the door and shutters. What look are you going for? I think the black is a good recommendation, but how about a bit brighter red than you have currently? I'm confused- I thought a storm door is all glass. Is the outside door glass or screen? If you have a screen door, In your neck of the woods, is a screen door important for getting a breeze inside the house and saving $$$ on air-conditioning? In your neck of the woods, is having your door open with the just the screen door closed important for that friendly neighbor feeling that communicates "Hi, I'm home, I'm approachable?" If so, keep that screen door. Being perceived as neighborly is way more important than how well people can see the color of your door. You can punch up the color with your plantings in front of the house and with hanging baskets hung from the porch ceiling. And you can still have your red door.

Please delete your other post. I'd stay away from pastel colors like the coral tones. If you like a light blue, some of these might work do you like the black? I like this door on your home along w/the pots on the porch Love this deep, moody aubergine/eggplant color too. here are some purple choices another poster used. the Coleus for the flower beds are a great compiment. if you like that color, plant some grays/purples in your flower beds to compliment the purple door and the gray brick. you really need more 'accessories' out front. foilage, pots, just something to break up all of that asphalt. paint the plastic chairs if you're going to leave those out there! they really don't go w/the style. bring in some more color w/pots and flowers I think these autumn tones in foilage would be pretty w/your brick if you choose a black or wood door when it comes time for new doors, here's what a darker wood stain w/glass would look like
