Comments (9)The Staffords are two of the most likeable people and their knowledge of plumerias is amazing. I didn't get to hear alot of the info that was presented at the open house but Eulas and some of the other society members showed how to graft, how to care for your plumeria, etc. They know so much and I enjoy talking to them as I am always learning something new about plumerias - such as the hook at the end of the leaf on a penang peach. It may be just a little tidbit of info but always interesting. Here is a link to their website which shows more pictures of their plants and garden. Their Jeannie Moragne is absolutely breathtaking and their Penang Peach is simply beautiful. Here is a link that might be useful: Stafford Yard...See MorePumpkin Pie - Pecan Pie - need to travel
Comments (6)momj74 LOL. So far I KNOW about: Blueberry pies (yes that's plural), apple pies (again more than one), pecan pie (and yes I've been asked to bring one too and she knows I'm a great baker), pear tart, cranberry bread, brownies, GF bread, trifle, TWO turkeys... I know we will be there for 4 days but I truly hope she doesn't push all this food. I'm on day 8 of 90 for WW (small goals) and I will be SO mad if I ruin it. I am going to take all my ingredients weighed out, mis en place and mixed if appropriate and bake at her house. Thanks for all the advice...See MorePacific NW travel
Comments (52)I just heard an interview with Maya Lin, the artist behind the Vietnam War Memorial in DC, talking about her latest project. I am linking it here - it is pretty amazing and with the Lewis and Clark connection, thought you (and/or your kids) might find it worth looking at for possibilities. The webpage is very complex about what she/they are doing, but fascinating to read. I'll link to the interview, too, in case anyone is interested, but will have to add it later, as it's not available online yet. Edited to add link to Maya Lin interview...it's good! new-maya-lin-art-installments-track-route-lewis-and-clark Confluence project...See Morebbstx
