Store sold part of our slabs, freaking out. What do we do?
Comments (47)Heya guys, so update today: Sent several emails and left a message since they still haven't told me the exact dimensions of the island counter they can make from what remains of the one slab. I ended up finding the email address for the cad guy we talked to and asked him. He replied at first but sent me different measurements and then didn't reply after that. I ended up finding the email address of one of the co-owners of the company and sent her a message letting her know we aren't happy. We'll see where it goes from here. We are 5 days away from install day. Anyone want to take bets regard how far over schedule this goes? I'll send some of my mesquite floor left overs to the winner for barbecue purposes. :)...See Moredo I beed a table under tv
Comments (8)What a lovely view! I agree, neither table looks great. First is too deep, second is not wide enough. My first thought was a wall hung shelf with drawers, wider than the TV, and replace the chairs with a couple of storage ottomans that would fit under the shelves. The chairs are lovely, but look a bit cramped in the corners....See MoreWhat to do with our 65”(diagonal) TV, devices . Want more wall space.
Comments (8)Agree, get a console that's 30-50% wider than the TV -- that should also give you a start to additional storage space. It will probably be shallower than the current glass piece, too, which will help uncrowd the room. As for "freeing up wall space for furniture," that sounds like a different issue. Are you not happy with the arrangement of furniture in this room? If so, we need photos of what you have in there now, including shots of all 4 walls (and a sketch of a floorplan if possible)....See MoreBedroom floor has a dip in it under our bed - what do I do?
Comments (2)You can buy wood shims at the hardware store. This is what should be under your bookshelf, not pennies. Shims are cheap. If you don't have a level, buy one. I'm sure the hardware store will sell a cheap level. Check both the bed frame and the mattress. It's not uncommon for mattresses to develop sags in the middle, which causes both sleepers to roll into the middle. If the bed is not level, you'd expect one sleeper to end up in the other's side of the bed....See MoreBailey
