Actually, mine looks similiar to Janet's...They are not heirlooms ones but they are from a commercial seed co ' Camellia mix from American Seed. Some are a little bushier than others but I think thats because of where they are located that makes them bushier, the ones with no room grow thinner and skinnier (on inside of where they do not get as much sun and room to grow)...It was my first yr last year to try them so I'm not much help on the different colors and i believe they are a plant/bush from each seed...Some had nice thick trunks, succulent like(even the thinner ones), I cut the side stems from some of them and they sprouted new stem/leaves from where the cut was...It was all experimental..They are in full sun except for maybe in the late afternoon...Here's the seed pk... Yes - big difference. The flowers look somewhat alike at first glance, but they are very different plants. Chamomile is a mild relaxing herb, and is often used for teas. Almost every large grocery store in the US has some kind of chamomile tea. Feverfew is most commonly used for fevers, migraine, and arthritis. The name is related to the word febrifuge, which means to break a fever. I lookup the stratification requirements when I am making up my plant tags. Then I write on the tag "ws" for wintersow and "ss" for spring sow. If it is something that may need multiple warm cold warm cycles I also write on it "slow" and the date sown. That way if it isn't sprouted by summer I know to keep watering it and move it to a shady spot over the summer so it won't completely dry out before next winter. I file my seed packets I plan to sow and prepared labels in a tub with sections for sowing early winter, late winter/spring, and tender-only sow after frost. This is just to make sure I get the things that NEED cold out first. Then I can take my time doing the things that might need a bit of cold or fluctuating temps or at last can handle cold. The tender things can wait, some of them get done in my "wintersowing containers" and some get direct sown. That decision depends on how many of the seed I have, where it is going, how quickly it germinates, and of course how much potting mix I have left! I always end up underestimating how much I am going to do each year. So, there are still reasons why some of us research the seed's needs, but it is definitely not required for a successful experience. If you like researching that info - do it, if not skip it altogether or maybe just do it for those very special seeds. You will also learn what works best for you over the years and tweak the routine to suit your needs.

Laura, Your chamomile is really pretty. I always thought it grew closer to the ground. I don't want to walk on any ground cover, because it will be in between rocks. But I don't want it to get too tall or it would just look like an over grown rock bed with weeds. Or why go to all the trouble of buying rocks only to have them covered up. Karen, About 3 years ago I put in a six pack of Mother of Thyme. It really took off in that spot. It smells great if you do have to walk on it. And it is a bug/ bee magnat. Then last year, it looked all woody and half killed off. This could have been due to our ice storm, or maybe thyme needs cleaned up and trimmed up to look its best. If you don't want alot of bugs & bees, I would keep it trimmed down. The flowers last forever! It does reseed happily and I moved some around to other parts of my garden. Mo Girl, I don't think you will have a problem transplanting your thyme. I takes some pretty good abuse. While looking for a white ground cover I came across this. Looks like quite the little gem! Check it out. I also checked to see if I could find seeds over plants. And was able to find seeds too. It may to late to WS these, I don't know.
