Thank you Fenstermann! I didn't go with the roller shades because they don't provide as much insulation but I am going to get them for our Florida home. Thanks for the advice! My husband will love adding the app to his phone. What I did decided for the Bethany condo on is 2" vertical honeycomb that will open from the center. I can push them back like curtains for the summer and will get a good level of insulation for the winter. I will post a picture after they install. Thank you so much for your advice. There are a couple of ways to treat a round top window. As you stated, one is to have the curtain rod above the top, with curtain panels that open and close. However, for a bedroom that you want to block light, you'd need rather heavy bulky curtains. And you'd have a large stack back for them to be full enough to open/close. You could also have a pleated shade custom cut to the shape of the window. Now the last option is to remove the half circle window. I had one of those in my bedroom and removed it and replaced it with a 12" transom. I also installed an awning outside to block the western sun. I have another of those windows in a family room and had a honeycomb shade made. Honestly, though, the shade is NEVER open, so it defeats the purpose of the window, and I'm considering removing that one as well.

It looks like you also have windows on the wall that is perpendicular? Those would need panels also. Can you show a photo of that window? You might also consider a different furniture arrangement. The table behind the sofa is serving no purpose. Maybe there just for Christmas? You can add drapes that are decorative only. I presume that is what you want, since you already have shades? I think it would really soften the space and look elegant if you added a panel between each window and on the ends. I've added 2 here to give you the idea. At the corner, I would make the panels contiguous from one wall to the next.
