Comments (12)Thank-you Trailrunner I'll give that one a look-see.. Fun, She has no family. She worked with my mom as a nurse. When my mother was alive she took care of her .She has such a vibrant mind with a failing body. I already ironed her name to all her clothing and brought in a basket for the dirty so I can take it home to wash. I bring meals in whenever I can. It's so sad that for $8000 a month you would think they could answer the call button..(End of life care is a whole other story)...See MoreFront Loader recommendations for one
Comments (23)I've been looking at that LG also but wondered one thing: if you look at the tub - the four and eight o'clock position - there are just two holes in the rubber gasket. On all the other TurboWash washers, there are actually two nozzles pointing into the tub. I wonder if this washer has a light version of the TurboWash, so to speak. I highly recommend a member from automaticwasher.org regarding questions about the Frigidaire. I'll link a thread in which posted on the Affinity below. Finally, here are some pictures. Four sets of duvet covers and pillow covers. Two of them are super-lightweight microfiber sets and the other two are regular cotton ones. First washer is a 20-year old Bosch with a 1.8 cu.ft (?) drum, then my Duet with its 3.3 cu.ft drum and finally the load in the Axxis dryer. Even the small washer could have easily handled more. The dryer... not so much. Alex BTW: you owe me one for putting my laundry in the dirty washer. ;-) Used to belongs to our landlord's family who would always leave wet clothes in there for days! Comments (16)aktillery: I will definitely plan to check out TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Tuesday Morning before I order anything online. It does help to know in advance what will work or not. Your rug is very pretty there. lyban: I looked at that rug which is pretty also. WIth the 5' rug, though, when we stand in front of our sinks, then one foot would be on and the other off the rug. Since I found the 6' rugs at overstock, I think I'd take a chance on one of those before getting a 5' rug. I think a 7' rug could work if it looks really good. I think I might try an online chat with one of the folks on the HD website and see if they can recommend any in that size since I can't narrow down the runner size so much in the search function. shee: I want something more plush in our bathroom because we're pretty careful; in the girl's bath I am considering that indoor/outdoor one as I'd be kidding myself to think I won't need to clean it as old rugs in that bathroom I've been washing every 2 weeks or so. Also, the print looks more "fun" for them plus a tad busy so the makeup stains, etc. hopefully won't show so much. I've tried talking to my DD to be more careful, but so far, not much luck though we have made her responsible for cleaning it. My 9-year-old DD is much cleaner and more systematic than her. I think she has inherited my decorating gene, but it's skipped over the 16-year-old. She more like her Dad, huge into sports, science, etc.... and makeup (not like the Dad)!...See MoreShower curtain & color help needed for zen-inspired bath (PICS)
Comments (35)On the subject of two curtains...unless you mean to draw them back in both directions, which would expose the liner, (unless you used two of those as well, and left the whole business open), I would combine the two curtains in the traditional way...which means, you cut the second one in half, and sew the two halves to the two sides of the first one. Otherwise, you have either a seam or two side hems running down the middle of the whole business. That means undoing the top and bottom hems, at least far enough back to re-sew them in a continuous hem once the pieces are joined all the way along. Any good seamstress should understand that if you decided to have it done....See Moreanoop
