No one by me had autumn blush and that's suppose to be one of Kraftmaid's most popular color. I went in on Friday ready to pic chestnut only to walk out still undecided. I ordered a sample door in chestnut to make sure I like it both in the sunlight and at night. If I don't it will be autumn blush. Holding up my own construction - going on 4 wks now. I have the granite, style, molding picked just waiting on color. I also have more lighting being installed in ceiling and under cabinet lighting. My KD said just place the order and I still have 1 week to change the color. This way they can at least measure my kitchen. This is so tough!

Thanks for the ideas and pics remodelfla and jb1176. I took a look at Lisa's oatmeal tile and subway backsplashes, and really thought they both looked beautiful in her home. I've actually been leaning towards using a plain white subway, but I believe my husband would like some color in the mix. I also really like (but not sure these would look good in my kitchen): ljsandler's diamond backsplash... meg's subway tile... Would a white subway or diamond tile work in my kitchen? I don't have as fancy a kitchen as Lisa, LJSandler or Meg. I'm still open to color, but I've visited a few tile stores and am having a heck of a time finding a tile that really picks up a color in the granite. There are so many beautiful stone tiles that just look too gold/yellow to suit this granite. Sigh, this little decision seems to be consuming so much of my time lately.

no brown or yellow, really ? that leaves you with about 25- 35 percent of the color spectrum, plenty to work with. i'm going to stand on my head to study these pictures:-). you understand that a complimentary and contrasting colors are at the opposite side of the color wheel? the complimentary color to your cabinets is a light green . how about a drift wood stain (light warm gray) with a hint of green? it sounds weird , but it'll give you the contrast you want in the kitchen, in the dinning room? who knows. that's all i've got.

Hi. On the second level of stairs, you have those three wall hangings. If you ran a blue tape paint line directly through the center square of all three wall ornaments you'd should have a profile approximate with the banister (thats what I thought at first. The wall color seems a good match right now for the banister hardware but if you need something easier on the eyes to transit the stairs, you could change the tone to the white of the lower wall. That large banana tree offers a chance to change white hue to something more white-green tint, or a very subtle aquamarine. Its a very blocky suggestion. I did this mod on ms paint so , just heads up. The black line indicates the high contrast change of paint tone. I made a gap for the plant but it should all be filled in behind it. I think the blue looks better with the plant and the wall than the green and then could be continued to the wall below it.
