Create less open floor plan??

Hi all! Wanted to get some options on if we should close off a room in our house to create a less open floor plan. Our house is VERY open and our office has a large opening into the great room as well as a smaller opening into the hall. It’s not functioning great and not private, which is hard with working from home and small kids. We are debating drywalling up the yellow circled opening and putting a door on the other one that goes into the office. The other benefit is we could take the TV down from above the fireplace and move it to the newly created large wall, orienting the furniture in a different way (best way TBD!). What do you all think? Is this a good idea or would it make the house less desirable since open floor plans seem to be desirable? Any tips or suggestions are welcome, thank you!!
