Paint color for guest room in grey house?!

We are currently fixing up our entire house and the last room to paint is the guest room. We are getting all new furniture for the room so we aren’t bound by any certain finishes or pieces. Our house is primarily white and shades of grey so I wanted to do something a little more fun in the guest room.

I was thinking of maybe a greyish-green color. I was looking at SW Front Porch and SW Lattice (the pictures online are a little limited as all that comes up is literal front porches and lattice fences 😂) and I was also debating SW Sea Salt or SW Comfort Grey. Not sure if Sea Salt/Comfort Grey will be too ”beachy” and colorful as opposed to more muted and relaxing colors. Has anyone had luck with any of these colors? Or any good recommendations? Thank you!

Our new carpet goes in on Friday so maybe I will have better luck with a color once those are in.

Is your new carpet white - Polaris?

Front Porch looks to be a very nice calm color that work well with a light color carpet and grays. I like it the best of all of the colors you car considering. Use a matte finish on the walls and a flat white on the ceiling.

Wow, 6 posts on paint...you are having a difficult time.

Rug, or not, from what direction does the light come? That info determines what's best.

Creamy by Sherwin Williams will look great in there. It’s a nice cream that doesn’t read yellow. Or you can go with a white (extra White by SW or Chantilly Lace by BM). Sample it first, though. Buy a small sample and paint a large piece of foam core or Sheetrock, so you can move it around the room.

I’m no expert, but I have tried many, many (probably 25 ) shades of grey and greige on my walls. I ultimately ended up with Benjamin Moore Cedar Key. Neutral, greige-y and seems to morph a bit with the light and/ or furnishings. I have a navy sofa that looks really nice with it. It seems warmer than your BM Greytint, so don’t know if you want to go in that direction. But I found Cedar Key to be pretty forgiving and flexible.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to throw a wrench in this. Some interior decorators say paint color should be the last decision in a room.

Not really struggling, I picked out the paint for the majority of the house but I just like to read opinions on here :) I find that they’re more helpful than all the websites and blogs on colors and decorating, actually!

The carpet is mostly white/light grey with other grey soeckles in it! There is one window in the room and if you look out the window then you are looking east

I like front porch too. I’d also sample some blue colors. I think that would work nicely

I agree that paint should be chosen last. Your carpet is neutral, which is good. If you want to do something more ”fun,” choose the bedding first and then take your paint inspiration from it. You can find hundreds of bedding ensembles online and have fun shopping for inspiration. That’s what I did and ended up choosing a rather neutral gray paint, but also making a cornice, and adding wall decals to match the theme of the bedding. Great fun! Good luck!
