Which fabric for this chair
Comments (21)I am leaning toward the white/blue... although I may go back to the drawing board with the fabric. I think I may need to go deeper... I'm thinking about doing away with the nailhead trim and adding a welt in a contrasting color. Also, the chair as it is has a solid suede back, so I can play around with a couple of fabrics. (see below) This link is an example of the contrasting welt: http://www.horchow.com/p/Lilly-Pulitzer-Johanna-Upholstered-Armchair-Fabric/cprod84620041_cat5720732_cat5720731_/?index=69&cmCat=cat000000cat000001cat16060742cat5720731cat5720732&isEditorial=false...See MoreWhich loveseat/chair go better w/leather recliner?
Comments (3)No, I'm not 100% that we're going to hang the cowhide, but putting a lot of thought into it. I'd love to do a sectional, but the room is so oddly shaped with doors and such (ie. TV), that it just won't fit. I've put tape on the floors and everything. I like how we now have it, I'm just not good with filling in the blanks and putting fabrics together. I am getting more confident and learning a lot from everyone here :-)...See MoreWhich dining room chair do you like better?
Comments (42)I love the rounded back, or even a spider back. You might check out Shermag, under their Radius collection especially, but several of their collections might have something to consider. We have a kitchen set from them, in their colours collection, and it has held up well to daily use for 6 years now. Affordable as well. Not crazy about the first chair - it seems like a restaurant chair to me. Love your dream chair - check around, because that style is everywhere, likely at all kinds of price points. As for fabric, if it is microfiber and treated, don't discount it. That fabric can have a great sueded appearance, and wear well and clean up well. I know, because DH has microfiber on his man-eating recliner....See MoreOpinions on these 2 possible fabrics for DR chairs
Comments (32)Another update to my fabric search! Instead of making the almost 1 hour trip to Country Curtains, I just ordered a free sample of the buffalo check in sage and cream that was suggested by cozyplace. It arrived today and I like it very much. It is definitely a sage green as apposed to the other buffalo check I have from Loomcraft that is more of a celery(?) green. Here are a few pics showing the two buffalo check fabrics. Small sample is from Country Curtains. Large piece of fabric is from Loomcraft. Here they are in the DR. And here they are (with and without flash) with the LR sofa. Do you think the fabric from Country Curtains is the way to go?...See MoreJennifer Friedman
