Can Anyone Identify This Eggplant Variety
Comments (3)I just figured-out how to imbed photos on this site myself so I'll try and help... Upload your photos to a hosting site, I use PhotoBucket for these types of photos - sharing - etc., (link below), because it's free. Once you have your photos uploaded and want to post a photo in your message all you have to do is go beneath the photo you want to share and click on "HTML Code," then hold the "ctrl" button down on your keyboard while you hit the "C" key. Then put your cursor in the body of your message where you want to add the photo (click it) and hold the "ctrl" key down again while you push the "V" key. All you're doing here is cutting and pasting the link to your photo. You can then preview your message and you should see your photo. Here's an example: I hope this helps. Comments (4)Hee hee hee. "They look similar." is so true with so many hydrangeas. I wish the leaves would ALSO be different because once the blooms disappear, they are difficult to distinguish. By the way, I do not have Veitchii but had Lanarth once and it turned pink after, oh?, 3-4 weeks? As all hydrangeas do turn colors, I would expect Veitchii to do the same as well. But do not feel so bad not knowing. I have one mophead that came with the house and the owner had no idea which variety it was. Then I bought another from Lowe's. It was supposed to be Nikko Blue and turned out to be a lacecap. Oh yeah, and a couple of hydrangeas are by the front door came with the house too. Unknown varieties too. Comments (20)Well, it's really looking like it's probably a paniculata. After reading ego45's description of the growth habit, I went outside for another look, because I was sure there were suckers coming up. When I lifted up the branches on one side, however, I found that all the growth was coming from one central trunk. What has happened is that where the branches have arched down and touched the ground, they have put out roots, which I had assumed were suckers. In addition, I found one flowerhead where some of the flowers have started to turn pink. I couldn't find a conical shaped flowerhead to photograph, squirrelheaven. All the blooms are round. As far as its current site, it gets morning sun and afternoon shade and the soil is moist and well-drained. You guys are certainly more knowledgeable on the subject of hydrangeas than I am, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's most likely a paniculata....See MoreCan anyone identify this variety of bean
Comments (3)I take it that the seeds are large, and the flowers fragrant? Looks like a member of the genus Canavalia. Probably Canavalia ensiformis, Jack Bean, a semi-tropical member of the bean family....See Moreprairiemoon2 z6b MA
