What can I use to seal foundation gap

My house in on decline. The gutters shoot water onto the concrete slabs. I dont see much of a leak in my basement; however, I am still worried about the gaps/cracks.
What can I do to seal the gap?? The 2nd picture shows what WAS used in the past to block foundation from water, but its gotten loose from the foundation (probably cement/concrete mix).
Need ANY solution.

The solution is to direct your downspout leaders as far away from the house as you can, and address grade slope if your slab/house is downhill from runoff. Realize that water is underneath the concrete slab as well. The slab moves separate from the foundation wall so anything solid there will break up and spall anyway. You can use a silicone/polyurethane sealant in the future.

Put extensions on your downspouts from the gutters, and make sure they are long enough to run those gutters away from your house.

The softer the material, the more prone to wear & tear. The doorknob zone is always hard on these vinyl-wrapped foam w-strips anyway. I wonder: it's a steel door? So how about a magnetic w-strip that gets a very fine cut through the magnetic part corresponding to the top and bottom of the plate; with the two cuts, the strip can easily step over it without any flexing, keeping tight against both planes. The cuts could be filled with sealant to lock them back together as one unit with the step built in. Casey

I need pictures but I also would not do carpet in a basement and especailly one where you have this gap that I have no clue about. I honestly do not have any experience with this type of foundation but the name says to me it moves so I guess the gaps are nessessary. May post some pics of the space .

Hard to tell from the pics, but I would guess they were from wood ties at the top of formwork that were removed. Are the foundation walls concrete, block or? I'd fill them in.

What about all the water that hits the slabs running downhill with the house? That can't be caught in any extensions/gutters. That water will continue to go downhill into some parts of the foundation.

I want to cover the foundation area with something. Is sealant the best answer?

If the surface water runs along side parallel to the wall, shouldn't be a problem because the slabs should be slightly sloped away from the wall anyway. It is when the surface water hits the wall perpendicularly is when you have huge problems.

I don't know what you mean "cover the foundation area," you have painted block walls. You can seal the joint where the slab meets, no need to cover the block. If you have basement water, that can be a detailed issue and deserves much more investigation and information.

Some of the slabes are sloped towards foundation wall. I dont know if they moved into that form or were like that from beginning.

Slabs can be mudjacked back to proper slope. The grade adjacent should be reviewed as well.

The slabs should be removed and grading done and then the slabs can be put back down. You must stop the water running towards the house. It all needs to have a way to run off away from your dwellings.
