I guess even if we do just one sofa in the far area (since we will eventually get rid of the pullout couch), what kind of set up would make sense for the entry way? Even if we are looking at getting new furniture.

hello, we're looking for decor ideas/feedback. A few ideas we currently had are: -one long floating shelf above the couch between the lamps, or 2-3 shelves at different elevations. probably a natural wood colour. probably fill the shelves with white and black decor, and some small plants -large abstract painting above the couch on the opposite wall. However we're unsure of what colours to use -large circular mirror above accent table. There is already a large floor mirror straight across from this table, would that be too many mirrors? Thank you so much! So, we don't have 2 dressers; just that teal one right by the front door. We use it for storage bc, again, our house is quite small. But it's for things going "out" of the house at the top, and then the bottom for other household things like placemats/napkins and gift wrap. There are no doors, but right in front of the front door, it opens to the kitchen/bar area. I'll attach a photo of that too right now. The furniture is ours, but was from zillow from when we were going to rent it a few years ago. And excuse the mess in the photo, i literally just hopped up and took it. As for your other questions, we are a family of 4, so we use the big couch quite a bit but are open to a couch/chair option or something different. And this is also where our TV is - right now on top of the console table. We used to have the TV and couch flipped around, and changed it for a different view.

Have you ever tried the armoire over on the other wall (the guitar wall)? Either in the corner or straight on the left one? It seems overpowering for by the staircase. And you could arrange the room nicely around it ... a cohesive look. If it’s not an option, I’d put the blue rug more under your sofa so that isn’t sticking out so much towards the entry area. Then do the cowhide. I’d want an entry rug, but I wouldn’t do a rug leading up to the armoire. I think it would all look a bit disconnected and chaotic. Another option is playing around with the living room arrangement and having the rug turned the other way. For example, moving the sofa to where it’s facing the side window. I can’t tell room sizes for sure, so that may be another thing not feasible. I think your cowhide would look good layered. Not exactly like this, but just showing an idea of layered rugs.
