This plant/weed spontaneously erupts in my rocks. It is a low growing ground cover that just now is putting out tiny white flowers, not closely spaced. Any ideas of what it is? I've always pulled it but thinking about leaving it as a rock ground cover if I can find out what it is and it's characteristics.

I agree it looks like something in the pink family. It doesn't match any of our Stellarias or Silenes, so I don't know what to check next. Nothing is showing in my guides under Caryopherales. I've never seen this plant before. It could be rare.

in my garden, .just about anything rogue .. not planted by me.. that grows that fast to seed in spring. is not something i want to let go to seed.. else you might have millions next year ... and youd need a million to get any kind of flower show out of it .. lol ... there are many definitions of what a weed is.. and in my garden.. such is a weed ... btw.. you didnt actually ask a question... just interested in a weed name.. value.. edible.. etc ... ken

While I'm here, let me ask another question. Where are the Plant Exchange pages? I'm old and obviously getting senile, but I used to trade plants before this site was taken over by Houzz.
