Wild guess, a Digitalis species?

Yes! Great guess. I definity sowed some foxglove seeds - ‘Silver Fox’ Digitalis purpurea heywoodii and ‘Foxy foxglove’ which definitely germinated in their respective containers. Since i didn’t expect them to bloom this year, I tucked them away in a shady area that I haven’t had time to focus on. In short, I forgot about them! Funny thing is that the foxglove in the pot ,which was in full sun, is larger than the plants in the ground in partial shade. My understanding is that foxglove prefer partial shade.

I grew the strawberry foxglove and the D. lutea, and, well the strawberry died early on, sadly, but I discovered my D. lutea would only bloom in full sun. I was also under the assumption that they preferred shade. Good luck with yours!
