No, brown, just the opposite. The Improved Meyer lemon will be your most precocious and productive citrus tree in your yard. See my "100 Pounds of Lemons" message thread I posted a little bit ago :-) If you truly have dwarf citrus trees (on Flying Dragon rootstock, as opposed to the semi-dwarf trees that are commonly available at local garden centers), that very dwarfing rootstock will slow down the tree's development, including fruit production. That's the whole purpose of using a very dwarfing rootstock - to keep the tree very small. So, if this is the case, just be patient, and your trees will start to produce more and more fruit every year. But will have less fruit overall, that a tree on semi-dwarfing rootstock. Patty S.

Loquat flower and set fruit here in New Orleans over winter, are in fruit now. We very rarely have a freeze here. Just north of N.O. where we do get hard freezes you can grow the trees but fruiting is iffy. Hopes that helps some. Mike

Hi Maggie, You only need one tomato plant (of any type). Tomatoes have "perfect blossoms" and are self pollinating. If you'd like more information on tomato blossoms, check out the link below. It has to do with avoiding cross pollination, but to explain that, it explains the physiology of the tomato blossom. Tam, I've linked to the GW Instructions below. The line that reads no advertising in any of the Forums has also been interpreted here as no advertising other message sites. I can confirm that with admin here, and I do think it's still in effect b'c some will write some short hand words to indicate another site, so actually I don't think there's any need to confrim it. And I know first hand that if you send a message to someone off GW that the software will not let it send. Several months ago I was sending a link to someone for a place to buy certain tomato seeds and it wouldn't send and I couldn't understand why, b'c usually there's no problem referring to a place to buy seeds or gardening items. So I contacted admin to find out why it didn't send and got a nice response saying that the site I referred to was on their list of companies that had spammed GW, which of course I wouldn't have known about. So most of us who have been here a while know enough not to link to other message sites or refer to them in a post. Do I know of anyone who has been banned b'c they did refer to other message sites in a post? Yes I do. I wish it wasn't that way and at other sites where I read/post it isn't that way, but what is, is. MAybe I will confirm it just b'c there have been several changes of ownership since Spike sold GW and maybe something has changed? I don't know for sure, but don't think so.
