Here are some choice blooms from the last two days

Too much to do, so little time.

Here are pictures from the past few days:

CARELESS DREAM: This is a Bennett intro and stated that it is one of his best. When this was blooming on Sunday, it was 7.5 inches. It was flat and massive.

BIT OF JAM: This photo was taken at 7 pm.

BETTY BENZ: This photo was taken at 7 pm. For being a diploid, it has the substance of a tetraploid. It was still thick and stiff like cardboard at 7 pm.

LINDA GLUCK at 7 pm. Gorgeous bloom. Vigorous grower for me.

BOLD SYMPHONY: Bennett intro. The white midrib really stand out.

TORRID DANCER: It was more pink than rose in the evening

PINK TARANTULA: I love this one. Thanks Kay.

Careless Dream, Betty Benz, and Pink Tarantula look so good. From that pic I can see why CD could be considered Bennetts best, but so many nice Bennetts. I don't know why I don't have any. Love the Wide look of Betty Benz.

fgoldberg - I got them all from different places, but Marietta Gardens has Baby Blues, Driving Me Wild, Mystical Rainbow, Seal of Approval (it seems expensive there) and Siloam David Kirchhoff. Homestead Farms has Baby Blues, Driving Me Wild, Pony and Sings the Blues. I've ordered from both and been happy with my orders. Also, if I remember correctly you live in Montgomery County - our daylily club is having a sale at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton on August 11 at 9 am (everything's $5 per double fan) and I'm going to try to divide Siloam David Kirchhoff and Sings the Blues for that sale. Looks like Autumn Wood did well for almost everyone this year. Radiant Ruffles is a great plant. It has a bud count in the 20s and it repeats for me. It usually blooms for about 6 weeks. Cayenne was new for me this year and didn't have a lot of blooms, but I do like the ones it did have and am hoping for more of them next year. Kay and Julia, thanks for the comments on my seedling. Julia, the cross is Wild Mustang x Red Peacemaker.

Mmmm... not much on EVELYN MAY. Except she's a Peter Beales rose. Got her from Hortico a couple seasons ago. They haven't carried her since I bought her! Been slow to do anything. I put her in the ground last yr and she's perked up quite a bit. I hope to see some fuller blooms. I ordered her based on the oldest pic on HMF put up by "Ian Saxton." I don't know if she'll ever look like that tho. All the other pics look like mine... more open and more of a peach with yellow center instead of that blend of peach, pink and apricot. Oh well, only time will tell...

This is a very nice group of daylilies. I especially like your critique about substance towards the end of the day. One of the problems with some daylilies is that their petals get tissue paper thin by late afternoon. I've noticed that most of the Apps daylilies I try don't have that problem. Bridgeton Corsage is a pretty Apps I'd not seen before....Careless Dream is my favorite perhaps, but since they are all appealing it's hard to pick just one..................Maryl

Lovely blooms, and I love those ones that still look great at 7 p.m. My favorites are Linda Gluck and Pink Tarantula.

Lots of really pretty blooms! Careless Dream is my kind of flower. A lovely photo of Betty Benz. Your Bold Symphony is much darker than mine. Linda Gluck looks good after an all day bloom day!
