quartz masters? calacutta quartz
Comments (268)I find it interesting that in an earlier comment it was mentioned that the slabs are stored outside. However immediately below is an answer from QM about whether their quartz can be used outside. I don't believe 93% quartz and 7% resin is the amount used in Breton technology. When I spoke to another company which makes quartz in China, I was told that they use the Samsung method and that it is not heated to the high degree that the Breton technology uses. I chose not to purchase the quartz made in China. Can Quartz Master be used outdoors? Please note that outdoor use of our products is not covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Quartz Master’s products have not been tested under prolonged exposure to UV rays. Unfortunately, installing our products outdoors will render our Lifetime Warranty null and void....See MoreLG Viatera - Dolce/Adagio Gold
Comments (2)Hello, Donna, I am considering the Dolce quartz but cannot find a good picture of it on a countertop, Do you have any pictures you could share of the full slab or a kitchen countertop. I am a little concerned since I have not been able to view a slab her in Missouri. I even drove 4 hours to Kansas to a showroom to view LG quartz but they did not have the Dolce slab for me to view. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...See MoreLooking for a "marble-look" quartz countertop with greys and golds.
Comments (24)I generally don't express this opinion because I am in the clear minority and unlike Patricia Colwell I don't feel a need to convince anyone that I'm right. And right off the bat I will have offended the many people who have chosen marble-look quartz for their kitchens. It's not personal. Your kitchens are lovely. Bear with me, though, because I'm going somewhere with this. I don't care for marble-look quartz, and I have yet to see any that I thought looked convincing (note to Lauren--I'm interested to know what products you thought looked convincing, not saying they aren't out there, just that I haven't seen them). The porcelain products look convincing. You know what else does a pretty good job of faking the pattern of marble? Laminate. It won't pass Patricia's hot pot test, and it won't pass for real marble because the edges of laminate counters always look like laminate no matter how good the pattern looks. But they create the pattern by taking a picture of real marble, so the patterns are actually quite good. Maybe laminate is too low-brow for your mom. Maybe her kitchen is so big that the pattern would have to repeat, which would undermine the effect. But maybe it will suit her needs. Wilsonart Calacatta Lincoln I thought was the most likely fit (below) but you could also look at Wilsonart Drama Marble and Anzio marble and maybe Formica Calacatta Cava. Comments (4)Well, I’m not forcing anyone to comment, so why do you feel obligated to comment on my post?? I noticed that you never answer the question people ask about but instead give your standard answer of telling people to go with natural stone instead of quartz and blah blah. There are many reasons why quartz is very popular in kitchens, even though it’s not perfect. You didn’t need to understand it… I’m just looking for feedback on whether one manufacturer’s stone is better than others, while still getting the look I want for my kitchen. And if you don’t like quartz then you don’t have to use it. Simple, right?! If people ask about quartz and you don’t like quartz, why don’t you just keep on scrolling instead of giving unsolicited advice about something totally different?!...See Morerachaelgallegos
