Totally off topic: I love the traditional chair with the modern mix of the desk.

I’m assuming you are putting a desk chair between the desk and the window. If so, you might want to try the long side of the rug going from the door to the window so you your chair will be totally on the rug. Otherwise it may bunch up as you move your chair back and forth.

Before deciding on the wall, I’m sort of wondering about the layout. The furniture feels squeezed in and if adjusted, you may decide to treat wall differently.

For example, you could add moulding and paint that wall a deep shade, placing desk in front, which would better balance room. Would feel something like below.

...but with molding.

You could also try desk between windows, bookcase on back wall and chair to its right.

Determine your furniture arrangment first. I would try your tall cabinet behind the desk on that wall. It looks crowded between the two windows, and will give you some vertical height without competing with your artwork. If you keep the furniture as it is, a simple, large, round mirror would reflect light from your adjacent windows.

I like the idea of floating shelves.

Is this a "work at home" office or just a home office? What do you do here? Do you receive clients, conduct zoom conferences, or just pay household bills?

Agreed, you need to play with the layout first and then work with the wall decor. The two paintings you have in here are already massive so I don't think you should add anymore framed artwork.

And speaking of layout; back to my first question. How do you use the office? That will determine best layout to accomplish your work goals. If it is just a room you call the office, with no real use of it as such, then arrange for your pleasure. If you need to work from there, then there are things to consider about layout before decor.
