outward swinging patio doors

Eric Weissmann

My builder has installed an inward swinging French patio door into my breakfast area that will interfere with my breakfast table and create an access/flow issue. This is my primary access point to my back yard and he is trying to convince me that it’s not a problem and that they don’t really make many outward swinging patio doors. The door is totally dysfunctional and I feel crazy. Is he right, are there not many outward swinging patio doors? Or, is he just being lazy or not wanting to make the change? I’m at the point where I need to totally change the location of the patio access doors if I really can’t get an outward swinging door. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Thoughts?
