Weird weather year causes late blooms on Waltham squash

I've grown Waltham butternut squash up my kids' old swingset lined with wire for a number of years. This year has been very rainy, but the leaves are doing great (central Indiana). Here it is mid July and it's only been a couple days ago when I saw the first couple of male blossoms. Should I not get discouraged yet, if Fall tends to be warmer this year? I just got to have my frozen squash from the garden in winter. It makes me happy. :)
