Hi! Dimensions do tell alot of the story. I give you credit for taking the plunge. Enjoy your new sofa! One thing I've learned - from sitting in so many sofas trying to decide - is that each model, even within the same manufacturer, may have a different pillow depth as well as slant to the back part of the frame. For example, alot of Lee's are just too slanted back for my sitting perference. The Norwalk's are less so and 'fit' me better. But I want the hand tied approach Lee uses, so go figure. I've looked at Sherrill, Miles Talbott, Michael Thomas, Isenhour, and a few others. Unfortunately, I have not yet seen in person a high back which works. They are all too deep in the seat (40"). I have narrowed my search to a higher back, approximately 36" deep seat (maybe up to 38"). I've noticed that all the tags for the ones which are too deep are over 38" - still not sure what the depth measurement means, but I have concluded it doesn't account for the back slant. I am continuing my search, if anyone has come across my future couch, please feel free to share where it is! Oh, has anyone bought Norwalk and what do you think of it? They are not 8 way hand tied and that makes me nervous, especially since I want an extra firm seat. Thanks!

So here's my update on the Lee sleep sofa, after almost 2 years. For the sleep part of the sleep sofa, I love the air dream mattress. To me, it really is a huge improvement over any other sleep sofa experiences I've had. My husband and I had to sleep on it for more than a week when we had our upstairs floors refinished, and it worked out fine. Note that I'm not saying "great"....I still prefer my bed....but it was fine. I never felt a bar because of the air mattress. There is still a tendency for 2 adults to roll toward the center a little bit(depending on how firmly you blow up the mattress). For the sofa part, it is also fine, but not as good a "sit" as a regular sofa. There is less spring, of course. I expected this, so I am okay with it. I'm thinking that the upgraded innerspring seat cushions probably helped some, but it have no direct comparison. I think the Lee quality is great, and I will buy Lee again. Good luck!

Lee should be less expensive than the Henredon. Quality-wise there shouldn't be much difference. If one of your main concerns is long-term durability, pay attention to the fabric you choose. The cost of the fabric has no relationship to its durability. Very expensive fabrics can be very delicate while cheaper fabrics can be very strong. CNC router is just a machine (http://www.thermwood.com) that cuts out the plywood parts that make up an upholstered frame. Their are many types of plywood and ways to join the frame parts together. Thats what matters, not that its cut on a CNC router. Relative speaking at comparable thickness of a solid wood kiln dried poplar is stronger than a solid core poplar plywood when it comes to making upholstery frames. Because the type of joinery is one of the most critical part of a frame, as double dowelled used in most solid wood frames is a much stronger joint than the slot & tenon joints used in CNC plywood frames. Also the type of plywood, some use 3/4" pine 5 ply thats cheap and weak to some use 1 1/4" 20 ply birch thats expensive but very strong. Plywood is heavier than solid wood, so the myth that the heavier the frame the stronger it is, is completely false nowadays.
