Just take the Waverly Butter paint chip to SW and have them match you a sample quart so you can try it. Better to do that than second guess yourself.... I loved Blonde too, but it was going to be darker than I wanted in my basement room....and yet Ivoire was too light. Since I had both sample paints, I mixed them about equally and loved the color it gave me. I painted some on a small piece of drywall and took it to SW for them to match the blending of the 2 colors. I call it "Partial Blonde" :-) I know I could've asked for a 50% Blonde to try, but I was already up to 30 quarts of samples in the search for all my basement colors and was tired of "collecting" them!

I have had both Hunter Douglas silhouettes and the Shangri-la version of the silhouettes. I could sense the difference, but I would not call it substantial. The H-D blinds were not as stiff as the S-L version and the HD blinds rolled up and down more smoothly. Note: the HD purchase was in 1993 and the S-L purchase was in 2007.

You can never completely protect a room from sunlight, unless you have blackout shades that are closed all the time. I have window tint in my south/west facing rooms and also have Hunter Douglass duette shades that get closed/opened daily to limit sun exposure. Still have a fair amount of fading on my hardwood floors. I do live in So CA, so the intense and regular sun exposure is more than in other areas of the US. For window tint, look for some of the ceramic products that give protection without a dark looking tint. They are more expensive, but give a clear look out the windows and don't darken the rooms.

J R the lamp was to give a sense of it behind the chair and I was bringing in the gold and the circle shape from the bar next to it, but if it feels too ufo'ish I get it. Lol. The ottoman is fun, and it also pulls in the faux fur from the sofa, but if it feels too daring I get it. I thought it was fun, but it could be scary with a white fur ottoman and kids too. I don't know your style, it's definitely mine, but just playing with textures. Hope it helped give you some ideas.
