Another question about yellowing fig leaves.Probably too late.
Comments (5)If you provide more information (and a picture), you may get more accurate information. Either of the two issues listed above could be your problem, but its hard to tell because some nutrient issue show up in a similar fashion to leaf rust. If you are dealing with a nutrient issue, more information would be ideal in pinpointing which nutrient is giving you problems and, more importantly, what is needed to correct the problem. You mentioned some of the leaves fell first then the remainder fell later. Was there a pattern to the defoliation? The answers asked above will also give insight into your problem....See Morenj fig questions--dozens of tempting but unripe figs
Comments (2)Yor fig Need Thinning, and trimming in the Spring only. This year is unusual bad for figs here in New Jersey. So you can't get a conclusion about your fig looking of this year. One Other thing you can do,if you want ripe main crop: Brake off the breba, crop as soon as they appear. No fig will produce 2 full crops in New Jersey. The hot season is not enough long. Comments (4)I know! It was so magical how everything just melted right off. But if the paint melted off too that would be horrifying. The wall is very light coloured so I think I would notice if there was any colour transfer. But I will probably just stick with my usual vinegar and water and drop of dishsoap, plus elbow grease. Unless someone comes in and says "This is all I've used for years, no problem!" LOL...See MoreFIg Question... because there's no Fig Forum
Comments (5)Figs can be cut back to the ground. They are tough mamas. You know, I think there still is a Fig Forum. You can try this link. Problem is, discussion on edible figs and someone's Ficus benjamina are all in the same forum. You can also try Fruit and Orchards. https://www.houzz.com/discussions/figs...See Moredirtygardener
