Jellyfish Jealousy: This is a classic.

Heavenly Angel Ice

Raven Lore: This is its second year in the garden. I like how the midrib is lighter. I don't see that too often with the dark blooms.

All of the following photos were taken Thursday afternoon. It was hot and humid, but cloudy all day.

Wren's Song: An outstanding pink. It is taller than registered. To the side and to the right is Jamaican Midnight. Closeup to follow.

I put JM and TB together for comparison sake. Very similar blooms in the pm, but in the a.m. JM looks totally black, while TB looks dark purple with some rose and black when the sun hits it.

Jean, there was a time I didn't like spiders either but I think Ed posted a photo of Skinwalker that stole my heart. Since then, I have grown to really love spiders and unusual forms.. Debra, I'm surprised you don't have "No More Tears" As for Summer Thunder, I didn't like it much the first couple of years but she has come into her own now and is a beauty. Nice and tall too!! Brittie, Winyah Eye is NOT photogenic. It is much prettier in real time. The eye on it is like velvet, very striking.. Christine, it's the first time she has polyed for me. I had to take a picture!!! Linda, I'm tickled pink that you like so many of them.. Ruth, ST is really showing off this year. Marg, you are my kind of people. Often I have trouble choosing a favorite. Avedon, I see you have Stop The Show in your choices. That is one nice daylily. Large bloom, not bothered by insect and dependable to boot. She increases well too. I have Bi-Eyed baby. I haven't seen it before on the DF but I really like it even though it's a small bloom. Calming Effect is my fav here, even though pink is my favorite daylily collor. Good luck with the seeds on the pinks.. Ellie

Janet Grebus Murphy is a pretty thing. I like Jellyfish Jealousy and Chilled Orange Sorbet too. My Chilled Sorbet is never as dark as yours.

Lots of cultivars for us to examine. I am surprised that JM and TB do well for you. I don't see them in commerce much anymore. I know that you always like Jellyfish Jealousy.
