50 shades of gray question

My old house in California has Light french gray and i absolutely LOVED it. Now we moved to Portland, and have to consider the no sunlight days (which can be a lot!!!). A paint designer stopped by and he recommended SW Repose gray, at first he suggested some sort of warm gray that looks way too beige to me. I HATE beige and i do not want any beige in my house. So a solid neutral gray would be great. He's worried about LFG being a bit too cold, what are your thoughts? Floors are light maple, with pretty bright white trims. Theme is really mainly black, white and gray in my house.
