What color should I use on my kitchen walls with Taj Mahal counters?

I have Taj Mahal counter tops, white shaker cabinets, and a beige/grayish (looks like wooden planks) tile floor. My appliances are stainless steel with a stainless steel under-mount sink. What color paint should I use on my kitchen walls with Taj Mahal counters?I do not have the counter top yet nor do I have any of my appliances, most are on a back order list.

I have these countertops and it depends on your color balance. every room should have light, medium, and dark tones. now dark doesnt need to mean black, but the darkesst tone in the room. for yu, it might be your floor or that maybe the lightest as we don't have sample pictures. If your floors are light, I'd recommend darker hardware and accent pieces. everything then would be very light and i would use a midtone (a color between your lightest and darkest piece) that has a bit of yellow or rust to it (though the countertop can be beige, gray, and white with a rust veining, it can also be green. So I recommend picking your exact slab of quartzite, because if you don't, you won't know which you will get.

Anyways, my style isnt everyones, but this can give you an idea. The stone on the right has every color in the cabinets, back splash, appliances, and the countertop. So one of these colors, even in a lighter or darker tone, should work.

If you can get samples of each piece and create a board for the room, this may also help you select the right color for you and your home.

I have travertine floors, though not in my kitchen. They have a lot of pattern and several colors, though mine do not have a pink hue that some travertine has. You have 2 islands and a bar and travertine floors and outer cabinets in White Dove. Now you are adding Taj Mahal--a dramatic stone--and a second color of cabinets. That is a whole lot going on. Are you sure? While I think Taj Mahal is beautiful, I am not sure how it will look with travertine floors. Can you post a photo of your current kitchen? Those counters will be very expensive.

After many hours of reading posts on Houzz about EVERYTHING from appliances to paint, countertops, backsplash, sinks, faucets, pantry’s etc. I thought I’d thank the community here and share a pic of the final outcome of our remodel. The wall cabinets and trim are painted to match the cabinetry and trim in joining rooms but it’s basically SW Alabaster. The range hood is repurposed from an old antique carved mahogany fireplace mantle I found. I love my Taj Majal countertops and sealed them with “Granite Gold” sealer but now I’m considering having them professionally sealed as I was juicing carrots one day, spilled a little of the juice and although I wiped it up immediately I could see where some of it was absorbed into the stone. I tried to remove it with several different things to no avail. It’s not terrible but I know it’s there and I have yet to find anything to get it out. I’m now shopping window blinds and I’m sure with the help on Houzz I’ll find something appropriate. Anyway, hope the pic helps you or someone out there! Good luck!

We used BM White Dove In different sheens on the walls and woodwork to complement the polished TM Counters (but we have natural wood cabs). Our kitchen has north facing windows with lots of green trees. We compensated for the low light with 3000K (the warm-ish colored not the blue-ish colored) LED undercab and in cab lighting and sconces etc. The updated kitchen doesn’t seem dark or gray now which I was concerned about. I would definitely wait until you have the cabs installed, the counter in and some of the lighting wired in before choosing the backsplash. I was very surprised at how my original white tile choices didn’t do a thing for my counters and cabinets. good luck!

I strongly recommend you go to local flooring shop. There are so many things to consider. Installation is key to getting good end results. Watch for “variations”. Sometimes called V-rating. Get to see pictures of actual installed product. The repeat patterns can get very stripped or fake looking. Colors need to be seen in person with your samples from all elements in your space. If you decide to go engineered wood, I can give you key features to look for.
