talk with your county extension and/or Ag office... when i had them licking off PB .. i resorted to stripping the paper off a twist tie... filing down a peanut/almond ... and wiring it to the trap ... the filing to give the wire a way to grab it ... you might also put the PB .. on the UNDERSIDE of the release ... and mush it into the crevice ... so they have to work a bit harder ... to get it all ... it never fails to amaze me.. how they get it 99% clean.. and ... well you know the rest .... also.. you need a time perspective ... if this takes all summer.. so be it ... ken

I was looking for a similar color and ended up painting my entire downstairs in SW Empire Gold. I usually love it, though sometimes I get worried that it's a bit too yellow. It truly IS a tannish gold. But then, there are certain times of day when it looks just so lovely, saturated and warm, yet neutral enough to not overpower the space, and then I remind myself that I really am very happy with the results. Color is so hard!!! I wish I could post pictures for you. Empire Gold reminds me of a golden chamois cloth. I'm finding that it goes especially well with medium to dark woods, blacks, browns, reds and burgandy. When looking for this color, the problem that I had was that all of the golds seemed just too mustardy and bright, and all of the khaki/tans seemed too "builder beige" to me, which was what I had before. I wanted something that said that it was MY color, and not what was so neutral that it had been chosen by the builder or previous owner worried about resale value. I think that this color did accomplish this goal, for better or worse, maybe, but I like it. (Most of the time, anyway! I think that I will always occasionally second guess myself when it comes to paint color!)

Ok...thank you for the further thoughts. The placing of the rod on the sconces is OK but the drape droops :) in the center. I went looking for the bag with the scraps of cloth and must have tossed it. Dang...2 more velcro closures and we would be home free. Suero: I love the idea of the stick on hooks...don't know why I didn't think of that ! DH had already thought of the picture hangers but scotched the idea due to what annz says...there is something in there that isn't going to give ! cam...I am also going to look into the tension rods...would work if I can get more velvet and have a couple more loops made along the top...will look like tab curtains then. annie...really don't want to nail into the beautiful trim . But thanks for the idea. iread...I know what you are saying as it would give it some body...I had her take off the rod pocket when she remade these curtains...dumb. These were a bargain on Sierra Trading Post...very expensive drapes and I got them for $20 for the pair ! I wish I had left the rod pocket..just in case. OK...off to get 4 of the Command hooks...will just stick them up ...Great idea for the time being...an elegant solution...I don't know ...if anyone can think of one will be happy to try it ! This is the perfect example of not thinking about WT's before the window is built. c
