Can I divide daylilies today and still have blooms this year?
Comments (8)It depends on how you are dividing. Are you dividing them down to 2 fans or 4 fans or what size? I've purchased in the spring which were just bareroot double fans and had them bloom the same year but not to their full potential. I will be dividing some plants this spring and I'm not concerned about how many blooms I get from them this year. I figure it is best to get it done before something else comes up in the fall and I can't get it done again. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Comments (3)I just knew my bloom season was early this year but it really proved it when I went out to that open daylily garden I visited on Saturday. Only about a third of her daylilies were blooming and were just in the very early stages of bloom. I found out that garden had almost no bloom just 3-4 days before while I had been having lots of bloom. Not sure what this means exactly or if my daylilies will start blooming later in following years....See MoreIt took me 3 years to see a bloom on this unknown
