I'm having the same concern. I originally went to lumber liquidators and found a nice hand scraped strand bamboo flooring. I then went online and researched a load of companies. So far, I like Cali bamboo. My biggest concern was the formaldehyde in the products. Cali bamboo has little to no formaldehyde added in there product. I've read those same reviews about Morning star, but they were outdated. I was emailed a material safety data sheet on Morning Star brand, but no one could tell me how much formaldehyde content was in the morning star product. At the bottom of the sheet there was a disclaimer: "The information and data herein are believed to be accurate and have been compiled from sources deemed to be reliable. It is offered for your consideration, investigation and verification. Lumber Liquidators makes no warranty of any kind, express or implied, concerning the accuracy of completeness of the information and data herein. Lumber Liquidators will not be liable for claims relating to any party's use of or reliance on information and data contained herein regardless of whether it is claimed that the information and data are inaccurate, incomplete or otherwise misleading. It is incumbent upon the user to obtain the most up-to-date information". So I guess what they mean is that the info on the safety data sheet is BS. I'd like to know. Cali bamboo is great, but I actually prefer the hand scraped look they have from Morning Star at lumber liquidators. Does anyone know if Morning Stars 2011 line has added formaldehyde?? I had an appt in the neighboring town today and there's a thrift store there called Saint Vincent-De-Paul dirt cheap prices..I found a thingy, actually I don't know what it is. I haven't measured it but I'd say its a queen size sheet or fancy bed cover of some sort its for sure 100% cotton....soon as its out of the dryer I'll take a pic..Amiee wanted it..50 cents..lol...and a Rowenta steam iron 1 dollar..they say it works, I haven't tried it yet. And a very pretty set of china service for 12 complete with 2 serving bowls, creamer, sugar and gravy boat..all are in mint condition. Actually each piece was wrapped in a clean white bounty paper towel and you can tell they came from a clean home and never went thru a dishwasher. 3 dollars for the full set..I'm going to flip this set..I just seen the same set on ebay or etsy for 275..so I spent 4.75 thrifting lol

Our flooring was installed by whomever the builder used for installation. I have a couple of minor scratches, but they were likely caused by something my 5 year old daughter dragged. We have Gemcore Onyx Huntington. We did the same - felt pads under all furniture and chairs. It’s very hard to tell when there is a scratch due to the texture. We do have some buckling and I’m 100% convinced it’s either installation error or a result of the new construction house settling. The buckling is isolated in areas and doesn’t seem to have processed over almost a full year. They’re coming out to assess Wednesday. We do love the floors and have them all throughout the house. They are low maintenance and super easy to clean. It’s a bit deceiving because you can’t tell where dirt is unless it’s a very light piece of something, like paper.

Hello! I've not bought something from that company yet, but I'm going to renovate my old flooring, and now I'm looking for a place to buy a new one. And the information on their websites says that the flooring is quality and safe for the health. By the way, which flooring do you prefer, wooden or laminate? I prefer laminate because it makes me pretty said to imagine trees being cut down to be turned into wooden flooring. I'm a graduate student, and we often talk about the environment, so I can't ignore things like this.
