It doesn't get tall enough to be Mexican feather grass. I thought it might be Kentucky fescue but it stays green all summer and the fescue seems to prefer cool temperatures.

I believe they are Miscanthus.

Possibly, but there are perhaps 20 species and over 100 named Miscanthus sinensis varieties alone so it is tough to say with any certainty. Strange that the nursery staff did not know at least the genus.

Alright so I’m having a difficult time identifying types of grass in my lawn, whether they’re good or bad. I’m convinced most of my yard is poa triv and annua hahah. Anyways I have kind of idea base on some references online but still like the input from the houzz community. So let’s get it started. First sample is what i believe to be Kentucky bluegrass.
