We love our Miele. Heats up quickly (less than 2 mins), maintains temperature and cooks/bakes evenly. Going on 6yo, no issues. Has never needed a repair. Highly recommend.

Brenda…Miele is one if the premier appliance companies. Many people on this forum have them. More often than not, the convection oven is paired with Miele’s combi steam oven…which is also a fantastic appliance. That’s what we did.

What I meant about “heating up”, is the time it takes for the oven to reach whatever temperature you set it to…the pre heat temperature. Miele’s ovens pre heat so quickly…just 90 seconds, so less than 2 minutes…that when baking, I don’t need to turn on the oven to pre heat, until just before I'm ready to pour the batter into a pan, or begin dropping cookie dough onto a cookie sheet. Considering the number of threads with people complaining how long it takes for their ovens (from other brands) to heat up, I see this as a big plus.

Do a search for Miele ovens. You’ll find a wealth of information. Here are my Miele ovens…almost 6 years old, still working perfectly.

@darbuka, Since I have a Miele vacuum, my mind wasn't thinking of kitchen appliances!! :). That sounds great about the fast heating of the wall oven. I currently have a Wolf dual fuel that I purchased back in 2005. I love the gas burners which they make in LP specific without the need for a converter. While the oven bakes/roasts wonderfully, it takes a long time to heat up in addition to another anomaly when you need to raise the temperature which I find totally unreasonable. I still plan to get the Wolfe gas range top. I checked out Miele's kitchen appliances and see they offer microwaves too, which is what I want vice a steam oven. I will need to determine the vent necessary for over the Wolfe range top. One question on your Miele wall oven. If you have it set at a certain temperature, then need to raise it for another item, can you just set the new higher temperature and it will come up to the higher temperature with no issues?

Yes, the ovens adjust to the new set temperature quickly…in about a minute or so.

BTW, there have been many threads by people compaining about the loudness of their oven’s cooling fans, in several brands. This is not the case with Miele. The fans in my Miele are so quiet, I’m not even aware that they’re on.

darbuka, I'm also trying to choose wall ovens. Do you have one CSO and one CO? And does the CO have the Mtouch controls? If so, how do you like the controls? Do you feel like you need mtouch for both ovens? And does either of your ovens have a rotisserie feature?
