Industrial perla - Can't find any bathroom design, any ideas?
Comments (7)A small bath needs FEW materials/changes. Go back to the tile shop. The combinations of mosaic and large format are nearly infinite. You are in love with ONE thing from a display. : ) It's not the only tile you can love, nor the only sleek pale beige and ivory bath possible. I don't see the "fantastic" in it, quite honestly. Maybe its the picture. You don't even NEED an accent in the wall tile. Tile doesn't "absorb" . EVER. That's its purpose. Unless you mean needing no seal. That is true of all porcelain tiles. Only stones, marble, slate would need a seal prior to install. PS........ take my advice. Skip the ivory for WHITE > Much fresher and modern...See MoreDesign Ideas for a Craftsman Style Bathroom? Comments (2)As an FYI, this is some other areas of my home, so you can get an idea of the design of the home, and what my style is. The home is a modern version (built in 2007) of the Kansas City "Shirtwaist" design. Basically like a shotgun / poor man's craftsman. It has a detached garage in the back, with a full porch in the front. While the home looks nice, they are reasonably affordable. Let me know what you guys think... I like a lot of oil rubbed bronze, and the style I'm going for is Craftsman. Sorry for some of the mess / boxes... I moved about 6 months ago and still haven't completely unpacked. Really really appreciate any advice. What I'm concerned about is that I end up making it too vintage, and then it won't match the more modern style of the home anymore. Thank you!!!...See MoreBathroom Design help & ideas

If there is a tile store or flooring store that sells tile near you go there and take advantage of their design experience. You won't get that level of assistance in a big box store. We live in a large metro area so we have plenty of options like this, I hope you do near you. We have remodeled four full baths and two powder rooms (two different houses) with their assistance. They are aware of what is popular and how to coordinate their products. You can help vendors and yourself by spending as much time as you have looking at pictures on Houzz and compiling an Ideabook of things you like. After a while you will start to see patterns in the pictures you are saving and will start to refine your style. There are also many articles on Houzz about bathroom remodeling. Since this is your first adventure with this type of project you would benefit from reading as much as you can. Once you educate yourself more and refine your style you can always come back and post again if you're having trouble deciding between a couple choices....See MoreCreative ways to hide 1 row of textured tiles in bathroom?

It's a beautiful bathroom. The windows do not bother me at all; I much prefer them to something that has window coverings for privacy that block all the natural light. They are somewhat reminiscent of chapel windows and feel almost reverent to me, and calming. There is something natural and organic about tile over the quartz that is being used everywhere these days (plastic). I bought a house built in the 1980's that had beautiful trim tile which looked as if it could have been hand painted. But it had kind of a pinkish beige background with simple pink flowery designs on it. I detest pink, so I couldn't wait to change it out. I finally did that in 2022, lol! I understand not loving something, but living with it sometimes is easier than we can imagine....See Moreartemis78
