Granite Coutertop End Cap Overhangs? Opinions/pics wanted.

This is actually something I haven't thought about in a while, and I'm curious on opinions.

I'm putting granite counters in a 10' galley kitchen. The granite overhang on the front will be the standard 1.5"

However, in my past experience, the "standard" for the ends of exposed countertop runs was 1/2". However, the final template diagrams from the fabricator show 1.5" overhangs on the exposed end caps as well. Now, that is TOO MUCH in my opinion, and will be reduced before I approve the template drawings.

However, now that I'm changing it, I'm curious how much overhang people(especially some of the granite pros on here) think should be on the end caps of a cabinet run. There will not be any decorative end panels.

Our cabinet face frames extend the standard 1/4" past the sides where the sides are dadoed into the frames, so for example a 1/2" overhang would actually overhang 3/4" most of the way on our cabinet ends.

This will be an eased edge with 1/4" radius corners btw.
