To further clarify, I just found a picture of a similar shower to mine. Instead, they inserted a premade plastic shower pan. As you can see in this pic, there drain is exactly center over the standing area. Im thinking I should either reduce the depth of my bench so that it is truly 3x4 shower pan so the drain is center. Or just move the drain forward 1.5 or 2 inches so that is centered.. I plan to install frameless glass very similar to this shower. So i realize that the drain will be visible from outside the shower and thus should probably be exactly center for aesthetic purposes.. To me, though, the bench in this picture (which i believe to be 11 or 12inch depth) is too shallow to sit comfortably.. The bench I made is very comfortable size wise, with room to lean back somewhat.. P.S. I am installing a custom mortar shower pan, and will not be using a premade... Would appreciate any opinions or ideas, as I am trying to put this pan in immediately.. Here is a link that might be useful:

I don't believe the national glass company would have done the "scribing" required as they would actually need to make a template and I have never seen or heard of that done as it would need to be dry fit / scribed them tempered if this is even possible. I believe the national company would have done the same as the local guys did which was take the outages and cut the piece on an angle. If your not happy with the gaps you really need to speak to the GC that did the wall work as that is where the problem obviously started and who is to fault.

Creative Tile, I also have heard good things.....my plan has totally changed, you can search my name and find my design thread. I'm now doing a 48" neo angle. I want to go USG because they make the custom pan with the drain where I want it, and trimming these pans will obviously create some strange aesthetics at change of plane w/ wall. Problem is, no one wants to sell me one! Here in NJ, only distributor within 90 minutes are HD stores. I call them, and they don't know the custom pan exists. Local tile guy has Wedi, but very pricey, and it doesn't seem ideal for a neoangle curb, also no custom pan. I'm assuming you may have a connection with someone who will sell me one? Online USG email support for neo angle sent me back to uninformed home depot, and a general instruction which doesn't address how to wrap the 135 deg. angle. I'm going to call them one last time, if not I'll take my chances with kerdi membrane with a mud deck. 1 question on the USG product...if i go with the new ultralight foam, does it require full membrane, or just the seams? If it requires full membrane, should I just use fiberrock as it will probably be much cheaper? Any ideas how to do the 135 neoangle curb, I'm probably just going to borrow kerdi methods over at johnbridge, and use the sealant for any questionable corners . Thanks so much for your help!

We have one large towel bar/handle on each of our two bypass doors. I put command hooks (shower appropriate) on the tile to hold our sponges, washcloths, etc. our tile guy put 4 corner shelves in our shower, and that's just enough to hold our things, shampoo, etc. On a different note, I was so certain that I wanted only a hinged door for our shower, but my husband helped me to see that bypass doors are so much easier to deal with, and he was so correct....no leaking, ease of use, lower $, and they look terrific. I think that this idea of only hinged doors is blown way out of proportion. A good set of bypass doors is wonderful, and looks fantastic. Please excuse the rant everyone.
