It will look very odd. Try 1" or smaller blinds.

I wouldn't do that. It won't look right and you may not have the space for the mount to be functional.

Do not do it. Maybe post a pic of the window and the space and explain why a blind at all.

We are in a rental where they installed all the wood blinds very close to the window (they had plenty of room to bring them forward) - now every time we have a window open, the locks catch on the blinds - a couple have come very close to breaking! Watch how close your window latches are to the actual blinds…

I have 11 windows in thw front that currently have sheers. I was thinking about changing to blinds but I am not sure I will like the look of 1 inch blinds from the outside. My house is very traditional. Thank you for all of your help.

Hey There: have you looked into bottom-up top-down blinds and shades? These window treatments are only 1 inch in overall depth and will work perfect for a flush inside mount installation.

Thank you, but I do not like the look of the top down blind style.

If you want to stay traditional, why not just keep the sheers, remove the valance, and push the drapery panels over to hang straight on each side of the window. It will look more updated and let in more light without changing everything to blinds.

I have traditional house, too. All of my windows have pull down roller shades. I really like them.
