Would love exterior paint color suggestions, please
Comments (8)There are literally thousands of colors and shade variations to choose from so it's really comes down to personal taste. We just picked our color on our new construction. We are in a woodsy setting and are big fans of earth tones to blend the house into it's surroundings. We have Hardiplank siding and chose the timberbark color (a Hardiplank color) The sample looked like a taupe brown but once the whole home was painted it looks much darker. Keep that in mind. It's pretty dark but it's growing on us. I'm told it will probably lighten up as time goes on as well. If it were me, I'd try to blend some earth tone shade with your beautiful stone work. Comments (3)lindybarts, would you consider offering a color suggestion for the house we are building. The house was selected to fit on a 10 acre property with an existing white garage for two cars, a garage for mowing equipment, and a small two bedroom house (1930 or so) that we are currently remodeling. With that all said, we had to pick a house that fit the property. The house dates itself somewhat because it is an older plan. We are considering Hardy plank/board. What color suggestions do you have. Also, I hate the bedroom window on the second floor...any suggestions? Thanks, I really admire your talents with decorating. The house is located at www.hgtv.houseplans.com and is plan DW-2112. Here is a link that might be useful: Our House Plan...See MoreExterior Paint color help for small spanish colonial home in sf

Comments (10)What is your inspiration for your renovation? A white home with white trim? What size trim are you planning on using? Do you want your trim color to match the color of the siding on your home (whatever that might be?). I would match your siding color to your window color, if you want a White House. Do you plan on adding shutters? (I see where they were removed.). You might consider having your roof cleaned. Your idea of relocating the sidewalk so that it enters at the front door is a very good idea. Make sure the new sidewalk can accommodate two people walking side by side....See Morejoevnore
