Orange peel look and wet sanding oil base primer (DIYER)

Question about oil base enamel. I am painting new set of Home Depot cabinets with an HVLP sprayer (I’m not an expert). The paint seemed pretty thin and I asked several people at different Sherwin Williams stores if I had to thin the paint to run it through my HVLP and they said it was already thin. When I shot it the other day seems like it has an orange peel look. Is this normal I assume this will sand out with 220 or 320 grit once it dries? Also can you wet sand an oil base enamel? Thanks again. Not an expert just a DIYER with some skill sets and a lot of tools to be dangerous.
