I wasnt commenting on the "florescence" of any color here - just thinking of a former neighbor's kids room in a really bright neon green that he picked out - not that I cared - he liked so why not. Just would be too much for an adult BR I think ... but bottom line is, its your place and indeed if the rest of the house is vibrant and colorful then certainly I would not wimp out in the bedroom. Lighting will do whatever you need to do, if you want it more restful and less energizing. I actually love the whole yellow-green thing and have left a trail of former apartments & rooms in that color over the years! Right now Im debating whether to keep my very old Martha Stewart K mart colors, Caneware and Meadow Way, or to venture into something new. I love them bc they are - for me- just the right balance of colorful and not overwhelming - like yellow, a little yellow-green seems to go a long way.

You have to paint Brown color for the roof and light cream for the bricks if you want an antique look because you putting in question you love the antique look you have to paint the gray color for the bricks and Light cream for the roof.

I would paint the walls a nice clear creamy color. The color on the walls now, appears to be a muddy color, and to me, muddy colors are very depressing. I like the arches, and I would work with them, rather than against them. Like the others, that tv, needs to go down on a stand on the wall, and nice art put on the fireplace. Someone will end up with neck problems, with that tv up there, besides the fact, that it doesnt look good there. A couch and a couple of chairs might work better, but, you can work with the sectional. A nice rug, and nice art on the wall, and some pillows on the couch with some color. You also could use a coffee table, and hopefully, you can squeeze in a floor lamp on the far corner of the couch next to the wall. Your light bulbs could possibly be contributing to the muddy look of the paint. Unless paint is really needed, I would change out all those light bulbs to led 3500 daylight type bulbs, to get rid of the yellow lighting you have. You may just find that it is enough, to brighten the room up a lot. Include bulb replacement in the kitchen, and the dining room, and hallway too.

Blues, greens, white, black. Hmmm…maybe a slate blue. Or a softer blue.
