Drapes wont ever close, the heating is hydronic, no fire hazard. I dont want shades, been there done that.

There will be nothing under the window and there is not room to put anything else in the corner because a side table goes there.

It is close, The left is 19” and the right is 10.5”. Thats part of my dilemma. i feel like the difference is in that perfect range where no matter what i do it wont look quite right. :)

Another vote for woven shades. Those windows want them.

The first thing I would try is centering your curtains over the windows, and then put in something to the left to make the asymmetry look optical correct. Possibilities include a tall sculpture, and hanging sculpture, A picture on the left wall, or a floor lamp.

A inside mount fabric Roman shade would be a good solution, so dressier than a plain blind but can function to block light if this is a guest bedroom. If going with drapes, would hang normally (use existing holes as guides) but up higher, closer to the ceiling. The drapes will draw the eye before anyone notices an uneven window.

I think once you put a side table and lamp in that corner, it won't be noticed so much. Are those blackout drapes? Do you need such dark ones? They are pretty severe, IMO. Something lighter wouldn't call as much attention. A good direction is to match them to the wall color.

If you use a wall to wall rod and push the drapes over to the corner you won't even notice the windows being off center. Leaving the gap on the left will make it more noticeable.

So sorry about everyone telling you to get blinds when you clearly stated you do not want them...

I like the full rod across, just pull the left drape over to the wall. It will be fine - it keeps you focus on the windows even more.

Make the drapes go wall to wall. I do agree though, that a color close to the wall color would make it less noticeable.

I had recommended blinds (roman blinds would have been nice as well) given the baseboard heating. Consider potential around burning and to a lesser extent, blocking heat flow when drapes are closed. Rod has also been placed too high.

Since you prefer drapes, suggest using a color as close to wall as possible and pull the drape all the way to the end, as it‘s odd with rod as is (width of drape will hardly be noticed). The wall will feel less broken up and room will feel larger and brighter, to make up for the small windows. I’d inject your blue in art, bedding, rug and could even use light patterned drapery containing some blue. Hope this helps, as considering whole room is important as well.
